Nothing quite says fall like sweet potatoes and cozy blankets. This recipe has one of those but it's a good one. It mixed the savory flavors of onion and cumin with honey and sweet potato for a hearty and delicious breakfast.

Dice onions and chop potatoes into small cubes. If the meat you are using is frozen, make sure to defrost it first.
Coat a large nonstick pan or cast iron skillet in oil. Heat and add whole cumin seed. Toast for about a minute.
Add chopped onions and potatoes. Season generously with salt and pepper. Cook until potatoes are starting to soften, but not quite soft.
Add ground sausage and chopped peppers. Mix evenly into pan to cook. If all goes to plan, the sausage should be nicely browned by the time the potatoes are ready.
Drizzle honey on top of the hash and add cumin. Taste and add other ingredients as needed (more salt and pepper or herbs).
Mix all ingredients together and cook for another minute. Serve with a fried egg.
