Chop nuts if desired and set aside to mix in later.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"cooked-single-direction cooked-direction\" data-step=\"Step 3\">\n<div class=\"cooked-dir-content\">\n<p>Mix together oats, nuts (if whole), oils, and sweeteners starting with the dry and then integrating the wet. It is perfectly okay if you use only one of each oil or sweetener, whatever flavor you prefer (or have in your pantry).<\/p>\n<p>NOTE: If your nuts are finely chopped, I recommend waiting to mix them in until the oats have cooked partly to ensure they don\u2019t get burned.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"cooked-single-direction cooked-direction\" data-step=\"Step 4\">\n<div class=\"cooked-dir-content\">\n<p>Spread out oat mixture evenly onto the baking sheet and place in oven.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"cooked-single-direction cooked-direction\" data-step=\"Step 5\">\n<div class=\"cooked-dir-content\">\n<p>Bake for a total of 45 minutes, mixing after every 15 minutes. Add nuts about halfway through if you are using thinly sliced nuts.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"cooked-single-direction cooked-direction\" data-step=\"Step 6\">\n<div class=\"cooked-dir-content\">\n<p>Take out of oven once properly browed and mix in dried fruit. My favorite is dried cranberries.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"cooked-single-direction cooked-direction\" data-step=\"Step 7\">\n<div class=\"cooked-dir-content\">\n<p>Set aside and let cool.
