Homemade Granola with Fruit and Nuts

I have always loved eating granola but I never realized how incredibly easy it is to make it on your own. When you eat as much granola and yogurt as I do this is a great way to do it for cheaper! Looking for a yogurt recipe?

Sheet of granola on the stovetop
 3 cups Old Fashioned Oats
 ¾ cup Almonds
 ¾ cup Walnuts
1 cup Dried Cranberries, Raisins or other Dried Fruit
 ¼ cup Honey
 ¼ cup Maple Syrup
½ cup Olive or Canola Oil
  cup Coconut Oil
1

Preheat oven to 250 °F and line a baking tray with parchment paper

2

Measure out and prepare ingredients. Chop nuts if desired and set aside to mix in later.

3

Mix together oats, nuts (if whole), oils, and sweeteners starting with the dry and then integrating the wet. It is perfectly okay if you use only one of each oil or sweetener, whatever flavor you prefer (or have in your pantry).

NOTE: If your nuts are finely chopped, I recommend waiting to mix them in until the oats have cooked partly to ensure they don't get burned.

4

Spread out oat mixture evenly onto the baking sheet and place in oven.

5

Bake for a total of 45 minutes, mixing after every 15 minutes. Add nuts about halfway through if you are using thinly sliced nuts.

6

Take out of oven once properly browed and mix in dried fruit. My favorite is dried cranberries.

7

Set aside and let cool. The granola will harden during this time, so don't worry if it isn't hard when pulled from the oven.
